Dr. Roy Durbin received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology from the University of the State of New York. He studied molecular, cellular and developmental biology at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO and subsequently received his Medical Degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, CO. He served his residency at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO.
After completing his military assignment as a brigade surgeon, he opened his practice in the older west side of Denver. Dr. Durbin knows sign language and states “To meet patient needs, I have even become mildly proficient in Spanish!” Dr. “D”, as his patients refer to him, has studied, taught and traveled extensively promoting care of diabetes.
Dr. Durbin is married and a father and grandfather. In addition to spending time with his family, his interests include supporting the CU football team as well as the Colorado Rockies. He enjoys playing the bagpipes, riding his horses in cow/horse competitions, bow hunting and raising KOI fish.
Dr. Durbin’s Philosophy – “Years ago, I decided to go into family practice because there are no two days alike. Each day presents different challenges including ages of patients, personalities, medical issues, and cultural diversity. I believe that medical care is a team effort and I look forward to patient involvement.”
