Make Your Health a Priority During the Pandemic

Make Your Health a Priority During the Pandemic
February 15, 2021Arbor News

We know that many people are apprehensive about going out during the pandemic and staying home has become the new normal. As the pandemic continues to stretch on, it is very important that you continue to take care of your health.

Chronic conditions, like diabetes and high blood pressure, can usually be controlled by adhering to your treatment plan and maintaining regular visits with your provider. Routine screenings and wellness visits can help detect issues early and prevent complications in the future. Recent statistics show people are delaying important medical care due to the pandemic. Costly, and often avoidable, ER visits and hospitalizations are on the rise. Sadly, many of these are due to chronic conditions that could have been taken care of with a simple office visit and with less risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Arbor Family Medicine wants to do all we can to help reduce your risk, maintain control over your chronic conditions, and make sure you stay up-to-date on routine screenings. If you have not had an appointment with your provider recently, this is a great time to get back into care! We anticipate that we will get busier as more people are vaccinated, so now is the perfect time to get in while we have a variety of available appointments.

We are taking many precautions in the office to help keep you safe. Masks are required and we are strongly encouraging social distancing. Our common areas are being cleaned according to CDC guidelines and you are welcome to wait in your vehicle after check-in. We do have virtual visits available and will do our best to accommodate any other concerns you may have.

We know times are crazy and you probably have a lot on your plate, but don’t let your health be your lowest priority. Let’s keep you healthy and ready to enjoy whatever tomorrow brings.

Call us to schedule an appointment today! We look forward to seeing you soon!
