As a valued member of the Arbor Family Medicine patient community, we appreciate the trust you place in us and want to update you about how we are addressing the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as states and local communities begin to ease restrictions.
Please know that our office is following all recommended guidance from public health authorities, including best practices for hygiene, infection control, and medical professional team health. We feel confident in our ability to continue seeing patients and providing primary care according to Arbor Family Medicine’s standard of care that you have come to expect and deserve.
Our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible. Therefore, at the recommendation of CDC and community leaders, we will be taking temperatures on all persons entering our facility and asking them to wear a mask. In addition, all patients need to consider these questions prior to going to the physician office:
- Do you have a fever and respiratory symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath?
- Have you been recently diagnosed with COVID 19 but need to see your Primary Care Physician for other health concerns?
- If you answered yes to the above questions, please call us and speak to our receptionist so that we can discuss with your provider how best to take care of you.
Unscheduled patients: Should you arrive at the office and meeting the criteria above, you will be asked to return to your vehicle and to call our office for a telephone assessment so that we do not expose other patients and staff. This effort will help determine whether you should be seen in a treatment setting that is better equipped for this situation. Arbor Family offers flexible care models, which are essential to ensuring we can care for all members.
Scheduled patients: All scheduled patients with above illness and/or exposure should call us from your car when you arrive, and our staff will check you in from your vehicle.
Thank you for your continued trust and loyalty as we work together to fight this virus.
